I lived in one of the two connected cabins next to the store with two other guys during the fall and winter of 1974-75. I don't remember the owner's name but do remember he was originally from
Texarkana. I loved that store. He treated us very well even though we were "Yankees". He extended us credit when we needed it and I will always be grateful for that. It was a charming store that truly had a little bit of everything.
P.S. The owner's name MIGHT have been Chris.
P.P.S The only downside....no beer, we lived in a dry county!
